1.1 DINGBATS & INTERPRETATIONS

DINGBAT COMBINATIONS

The "water gun" piece I found particularly interesting as it can be interpreted from the literal meanings of the dingbats quite harmoniously as a combination. The "megaphone" with a "pill" behind it could represent a few things:

A) The importance of discussion about the effects of drugs on the body - both recreational and prescription. Having a megaphone signifies the amount of people that it effects that it is necessary to get the message out loud across a large audience.

B) Emphasizing the reach of recreational drugs and how many people it effects. As a megaphones purpose is to reach a large scale of people.

Another interesting observation of this shape is when it is rotated counter clockwise to stand vertically. To me  this resembles a gumball machine. This could also be related to the literal sense by symbolising the accessability of drugs both recereational and pharacuetical.
